WHO WE ARE
The Oak is in the Acorn is a non-profit, 501c(3) ministry that was founded in Oroville, California by young adults with a desire to share the love of Christ with their family, friends, co-workers, and community. As the young adults gave Bible studies while having jobs, families, or while going to college, a good problem developed, there were more people who wanted Bible studies than there was available time. The harvest truly was great, but the laborers were few. There was a need for Gospel Workers, but there weren’t many available because of the high cost. Thus, “The Oak” was formed to meet that need.
Since 2009, the time of its establishment, the ministry has shared the Gospel in many different cities throughout North America through sponsored Gospel Workers, evangelistic crusades, media, and by a health food and Christian bookstore. We have a desire to follow the marching orders of the Great Commission which Christ gave to his followers. We believe that by following the commands of Christ, we may hasten His coming and thus we can all go home. The Oak Is In The Acorn is a ministry that supports the spiritual mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, but we are not controlled by or legally affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist church.
The Oak Is In The Acorn is relying on the clear instructions provided to us through God’s word, and through His last-day inspired messenger. As we look to the historic truths found in God’s word, we also seek to implement cutting-edge plans and ministry strategies that utilize implicit trust in God, today’s technology, efficient business practices, and the "Matchless Charms of Christ."

Our purpose is to help share God's love with the world, one life at a time. We want to encourage people who live in a discouraging world, to know they are loved and have a purpose. How we achieve our goal is through a "Won by One" method. We have a family of Gospel Workers who give personal Bible studies to people who want to know more about God's love as found in the Bible. Sometimes the Bible study might not even have anything to do with reading, but instead, maybe the Gospel Worker might help someone fix their car, or drive someone to the grocery store, etc. We believe that sharing God's love is more than just reading about it.
"How to exercise faith should be made very plain. To every promise of God there are conditions. If we are willing to do his will, all his strength is ours. Whatever gift he promises is in the promise itself. "The seed is the word of God." As surely as the oak is in the acorn, so surely is the gift of God in his promise. If we receive the promise, we have the gift."

"Opposing circumstances should create a firm determination to overcome them. One barrier broken down will give greater ability and courage to go forward. Press in the right direction, and make a change, solidly, intelligently. Then circumstances will be your helpers and not your hindrances. Make a beginning. The oak is in the acorn."

OUR MISSION
Mission Statement
“We have a burden, a desire, and are constrained by the matchless charms of Christ to share God’s last message of love to a lost and dying world, to help finish the work, and hasten our Lord’s return - Won by One.”
Battle Cry
"Won by One"
Objectives
- To fulfill the "great commission" in North America using Christ's method.
- To provide organization and sustainability to missionary Gospel Workers..
- To see the Seventh-day Adventist churches of North America, whom we partner with, become thriving centers of evangelism through the teachings of Christ and His Righteousness.
- To demonstrate that the Bible as well as the inspired counsel given to us in books such as “Evangelism,” “Colporteur Ministry,” and “The Ministry of Healing” are still the most effective means of leading people to follow Jesus, as well as providing practical missionary training for each local church.
- To encourage everyone we minister to with a sense of urgency of the time in which we are in, and leaving them with the battle cry - "It's Time to go Home!"
Our Main Focus
We believe there are many ways to share God’s last message of love to a lost and dying world, but we believe the method of Christ in personal effort will bring the most prominent fruit. The return may not be by the thousands at one time, in fact it may be one by one, but Souls will be won by the One, Christ, who alone can save, and who alone can sustain us.
We partner with individual churches to accomplish the united goal of winning souls for Christ. We provide Gospel Workers, revival weekends (Firestarter Weekends), evangelistic seminars, Follow up evangelism lectures (F.U.E.L.), training seminars, and a three month long Gospel Worker program (TRAIL blazer program) to encourage a church's cycle of evangelism. We also share God's last message of love to our local community in Oroville, CA through various outreach ministries to the homeless, the addicted, and to those longing for something better.
We have a desire to see the Seventh-day Adventist church's of North America become thriving centers of evangelism. We believe that teaching the beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist church along with the understanding of Christ and His Righteousness will enable churches to become thriving centers of evangelism, and thus the work can be finished and we can all go home. We partner with church's who can financially support a Gospel Worker in their area, but we believe that "it's time to go home" and thus through generous donations, we have a desired goal of being able to place Gospel Workers in churches or areas that are not able to financially support a Gospel Worker. Thus, to help finish the work and hasten our Lord's return.
